FRIENDS OF CHESTER PARK JUNIOR SCHOOL FUNDRAISING PROJECT
The Friends of Chester Park Junior School are a charity which raises funds to enhance our children’s school experience. Last term we bought materials for both the Needlecraft and Gardening Clubs. We have an exciting new fundraising project planned for 2017. To mark the opening of the new school, we are pledging £5000 towards the purchase of a Trim Trail in the new grounds. This piece of equipment will benefit all of our children to enhance their outdoor play. We have a proportion of that money already, which has been raised through various events throughout previous years. However, this year we would like to maximise our fundraising in order to reach our target. The success of our events is down to the parents and carers who volunteer and there are just a handful of us. Could you help us achieve our goal?
Between now and Easter we have 2 events planned. The next school disco is on Friday 3rd February and we need parents to work on the tuck-shop. Our second event is a Fish and Chip Quiz on Friday 17th March. Do you know of any budding Bradley Walsh’s who would like to be our Quizmaster? We also need parents to help set up. Our next Friends Meeting is on Monday 27th February at 3.30pm. We would welcome fresh faces and new ideas. If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to make a contribution please email firstname.lastname@example.org . The money raised benefits all of our children.
The money we raise helps all of our children.

From the Chair of the Friends of Chester Park Junior School
I hope you all had great summer break, and welcome to our new parents. My name is Helen and I am part of the Friends of Chester Park Junior School Committee. On Tuesday the 25th September at 7pm we are holding our AGM: It is a significant meeting as this is when we give thanks and say goodbye to our current Chairperson Naomi and Secretary Cath. Both have dedicated six years of fund raising to help provide Chester Park Junior children with new equipment, the most noticeable being the traversing wall in the playground.
It would be really great to see new (and old) faces, as we are keen to carry on the legacy that Naomi and Cath have set, along with new ideas to fund raise and help improve our childrens’ experience at Chester Park Juniors. We don’t expect you to give up lots of your valuable time just a little bit to help out, although should you want to be part of the committee you are very welcome!
If you can’t make the meeting but would still like to get involved, there are forms at the School reception and new parents you have a form in your welcome pack, just fill it in and hand to reception.
Looking forward to seeing you. Helen
